  • Man Power

    Gujarat is known for its enterprise and symbolizes the growth engine of India. Government of Gujarat has undertaken speedy reforms and continues to intensify estates, 60 approved Special Economic Zones, 21 registered Industrial Parks and 83 identified Industrial Clusters; Gujarat has generated vast scope for employment of technically competent manpower.

  • Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)

    The Industrial Policy 2009 aims at the comprehensive social and economic development of Gujarat. The Policy focuses on making Gujarat an attractive investment destination of choice, not only in India but also in the world. The primary policy objectives are (1) Facilitating investment in the state (2) Employment generation and employablity enchancement (3) Adherence to high quality standards.

  • Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)

    Textile Industry has its unique position as a self-reliant industry, from the production of raw materials to fabric and Garment and has a major contribution to the economy of Gujarat.
    Gujarat is a leading textile state in the country. The state contributes over 33% of mill-made fabric and 25% of power-loom fabric of the country. Textile also accounts for about 21% of total employment in the industrial sector of the state.

  • Gems and Jewellery Sector

    The State of Gujarat has been one of the highly industrialized states in India. The State has also maintained a constant lead in terms of new industrial investment flow in the country in promoting exports and qualities of gems and jewellery sector.

  • Industrial Infrastructure

    Gujarat Industrial Policy 2009 lays emphasis on infrastructure development. The Industrial Policy seeks to create adequate provisions which aim at upgrading and improving the status of infrastructure in the State. In recent years, Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) has taken up many initiative for upgrading the infrastructure of industrial estates and some of the measures taken up include categorization of existing estates, facelift of existing infrastructure, leveraging from critical infrastructure scheme and implementation of appropriate cost recovery mechanism.

  • Environment Protection Measure & Infrastructure

    The Industrial Policy, 2009 of State Government lays emphasis on inculcating systematic approach among the industries for holistic development that includes environment management as infrastructure. The earlier schemes for assistance to Environment Protection Measures and Infrastructure have emphasised upon setting up of common environment infrastructure plants viz. Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) and Treatment, Storage & Disposal Facilities (TSDFs).

  • Export Infrastructure Assistance to States for Developing Export Infrastructure and other Allied Activities ( ASIDE)

    The objective of the scheme is to involve the states in the export effort by providing assistance to the State Governments for creating appropriate infrastructure for the development and growth of exports.

  • Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Micro & Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme

    The Government has approved modifications in the Guidelines of Micro and Small Enterprises - Cluster Development Programme. The modified guidelines are in supersession of the guidelines issued vide TM/UND/2005 dated 14th March 2006 for cluster development and 2(1)/90-Plg. dated 7th March 1994 for infrastructure development, including subsequent clarifications/ orders in these regards.

  • Industrial Policy 2009 Industrial Promotion Development Scheme

    The objective of the scheme is to involve the states in the export effort by providing assistance to the State Governments for creating appropriate infrastructure for the development and growth of exports.

  • Lubricating Oil & Grease Regulation Order - 1987

    The Government has approved modifications in the Guidelines of Micro and Small Enterprises - Cluster Development Programme. The modified guidelines are in supersession of the guidelines issued vide TM/UND/2005 dated 14th March 2006 for cluster development and 2(1)/90-Plg. dated 7th March 1994 for infrastructure development, including subsequent clarifications/ orders in these regards..
